The second commercial from T. Boone Pickens, again pointing to the inherent dangers of the insane energy policy that is leading to the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the planet. Pickens wants to drill, and has no problems with oil, but recognizes the limitations of that policy. Drill here and drill now is not an energy policy, but a slogan. We need oil in the short term, and we ought to take measures to increase domestic production. But that is not a substitute for a strategy that weans us from the dependence on foreign oil that is strangling our economy.

Note: I tried to enter this under plan three entry, but it would not take.
Your Honor,
T Boone is doing yeoman’s work bringing the message that we, as a nation, must do something to stabilize our energy resources.
The problem it has been left to the political class over the last 30 years. No action, plenty of angst and lots of breast beating. Mainly it’s been used to garnish votes and play to the environmental lobby.
Result; no action for 30 years.
Meanwhile, Drilling now will have an effect on speculation and put a brake cost growth until the oil is brought to the market. (your honor, I know it is not a solution in itself)
It may take a private citizen to help resolve the issue in a way politics can’t.
Your honor, is Nancy going to keep the cap on oil?
Jules
