President Obama’s Weekly Address

The President, appearing to be taping aboard Air Force One, talks about his foreign travels, including the G-20 summit, discussions with Russian President Medvedev about further securing and reducing nuclear arsenals, and his appeal to our NATO allies to become more involved in Afghanistan. First real concentration on foreign affairs in his weekly broadcast, and an admission that he did not get everything he sought diplomatically on this trip.

Looks like he got some additional NATO commitment on Afghanistan, did not get agreement on worldwide governmental stimulus, and I do not believe he “surrendered” anything.

    Your Honor,

I read reports he may have surrendered some sovereignty. I can’t back that up with facts.

    Your Honor,

As I understand it the organization called FSF (Financial Standards Forum…I think) has lead to the forming of the FSB (Financial Standards Board)

This Board is made up othe European Union countries and the US to set financial regulations for ALL financial companies or for companies deemed to big to fail.

Among other things the board can set compensation limits.

All members on the board get one vote, as one pundit noted, switzerland and the US have equal votes.

Apparently Barack Obama has signed on to this board effectively putting the American sovereignty under European control.

I am not on steady footing with this issue, but I think it needs further study. Haven’t seen anything in the drive-by media yet.

I would have assumed the congress would have to approve, but as noted above, that is no problem.
