President Obama gave an interview to Brian Williams of NBC in which he acknowledged his frustration and accepted responsibility for the vetting process that failed to detect the Daschle and Geithner tax issues. The President trying to put out a brushfire and also speak to the “double standard” problem that has been created by these nominees.

In his mia culpa the President did say he could not have a double standard. What none of the interviewers asked, including the one on Fox, was, “but mr president you already have a double standard, Mr Geithner. Are you going to remove him?”
1. Did the 58 question questionier fail to ask about tax problems.
2. Was the Presidents team not as bright (or too arrogant) that they did not adhere to his wishes of the “double standard”?
3. Is the President still just a community organizer.
The bloom is off the rose. He’s already has Europeans mad at him for his “buy American” pronouncement; India is upset he is sticking his nose in the Kasmir issue.
I perceive he is walking the hallways of the white house trying to figure what to do next.
I hope homeland security is on the ball.
