The Obama Message on Health

The President spent his weekly address talking health care reform while also talking up some of the recent unemployment numbers. He took some time to dispel some of the outlandish claims being put forth by the defenders of the health care status quo, including the ridiculous claim that Democratic health care reform would lead to euthanasia. As usual the Republican hit machine cannot help but go way over the top. Organized demonstrations taking place at health care forums throughout the country during the August recess have given Republicans heart that they can defend the status quo, which is bankrupting the country. A real gut check time for Democrats in Congress.

    Your Honor,
If you have been following the Neo-Socialist take over of the country through a single payer ‘HealthCare’ bill you might have noticed individuals protesting the horrible features of this Trojan horse are very excited and scared as they realize their very lives are in danger. The Danger comes from the limiting of health procedures based on a Washington D.C. based committees using cost/benefit algorithms. I have seen the accusations of Euthanasia, but see no general use of the term. I find it abhorant.

Other fears are loss of choice of doctor and choice of plans available today. Actually 80% people are satisfied with their health Care. If you watch the videos and do not see elderly attendees expressing fear and figure it is faked you are blatantly partisan.

I notice you conveniently ignored the terms like Astroturf and Nazi symbols by the Democrat propaganda team headed by the President and Nancy Pelosi.

You might take notice of the Acorn blue shirted thugs as they beat up the young black street hawker selling badges and balloons. Hospitalization was required. What do you think of that? Union thugs.

I will take the status quo before I would considered a sell out to the Neo-Democrats. Remember Barney Frank who was caught on tape saying a single payer system would be the natural derivative of a multiple plan bill.

Your Honor, this a unorganized uprising from the would be victims of this bill. Your ‘friends’ should crawl back to Washington and review what they have heard. Did you notice every time one of your ‘friends’ begins to obfuscate a reply they get yelled at and booed.

Talking about the status quo’ answer this question; Why haven’t your friends attacked a major cost factor in health care-Tort Reform?

    Personally, I am smilling.

    Your Honor,

Obama has his own private army. They are made up of service union ‘blue shirts’ and AFL-CIO and other thugs that can be marshaled to push elderly out of town hall meeting, set up a screen for OBAMA, or even attack those they perceive as opponents of the ONE.

Between the private army and the ‘snitch’ program, I am afraid of this man. He’s our Hugo Chavz.

I think you may have mistranslated your Tonga, I believe that “ooga-booga” means “I agree”.

I was going for the third normal form of booga-booga, as in “crazy guy who wanders around the world scaring the intellectually deficient”.

At least, that’s what my Funken Wagnalls, 4th Tonga Edition says.

    Comrade Gordon:

Over the past week or so, I think I’ve witnessed the most inanity on the part of a section of the population as I think I ever have. Morons leading morons into shouting matches. Morons not prepared with effective arguments ready to present, or even basic crowd control. It’s great television for some, I suppose, but I also think it’s been a sad month for the Republic. I’m sure the founders would be proud.

If it were me, and I were leading the Democrats, I would stand up and say this:

We’ve heard you. We’ll make this simple for you: you have two choices. We will either kill Medicare, or we will reform the entire healthcare system. The status quo will not work for either of us, because we cannot afford it. We will draft both these bills, and we will have another set of town halls where we can discuss it.

Then, I would sit back, pop some popcorn, and watch the patriots work themselves through it. My guess is that their heads would explode, but it would be a pretty small one.

Here’s a great primer I found, it has pictures and everything, so even Republicans can follow along!

I think my favorite comment was this one ..

    Great graphics!
Actually all Canadians have a health card – a credit card that pays any doctor or hospital – we just don’t personally get the bill.
Watching the US go through this remarkable public debate about something that most civilized humans realize is pretty straight forward ethically and economically is quite bizarre.
What shit is getting injected into US food that is blinding a whole whack of the population from rational thought?
This northern socialist is very concerned about you all.

And this was my second one. Having spent time in Europe having to defend why the US population generally seems so dumb (I had a very tough night in a bar the night that Bush the Younger was reelected), I can understand where they get their idea.

According to Rush and other conservatives, Germany had a socialist dictatorship under Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Now, I actually live in Germany, and when I told some of my German friends that there are some Americans who think Hitler and the Nazis were on the political left, they damn near spit out their drinks from laughing so hard.

Everyone in the free world (except conservative Americans) knows that despite having the word “socialist” in their name, the Nazis were -and still are BTW- a conservative party. Hitler was a far right politician, and the NSDAP (now called the NPD) was a far right party.

The Nazis had Goebbels, the US conservatives have Rush.
