The Central Catholic High School Basketball team defeated Lowell High School 55 -53 at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell. Central Catholic was led by a great and clutch performance by guard Billy Marsden, and the inside dominance of Carson Desrosiers, who blocked at least eight shots. Although in control for the first three quarters Central managed to give away a ten point lead to a great Lowell High team, who nearly pulled it out down the stretch. Central will now play Monday evening for the Eastern Massachusetts Boys Basketball title at the TD BankNorth Garden. Congrats to Central Catholic, the Division 1 North Boys basketrball champion.
