Pawlenty Bites the Dust

Tim Pawlenty, after a disappointing third place finish at the Ames straw poll, has decided to pull out of the Republican Presidential race. From Politico:

“I wish it would have been different, but obviously the pathway forward for me doesn’t really exist, so we’re going to end the campaign,” Pawlenty told ABC’s Jake Tapper.

No big surprise there. With a heavy investment in Ames Pawlenty needed to do better than third. With Rick Perry now coming into this race and with financial problems the Pawlenty campaign recognized that there really was no way forward for him. The tank was empty, and only a solid showing in Ames would have allowed Pawlenty to re-fill the tank. It is now a three person race, with Romney, Bachmann, and Perry in the top tier.

good riddance, he was a despicable person. I am hoping that the loathsome Bachmann,is merely being given the lead as a stalking horse since she is filled with too much hypocrisy and hate to get even the GOP nomination. TO win in the US you have to play to the middle, these scary hatemongers repel more than they attract.

If you feel that way about Pawlenty wait till you get a gander at Rick Perry. Pawlenty is a socialist in that crowd. And don’t be so sure about the Republicans running towards the middle. That is not where the nomination will be had, and that has to be a good omen for Barack Obama.

If you think all the bull you were espousing has any merit, it is nothing compared to what your incompetent hero is trying to pull off at your children’s expense. How’s this for the middle:

“Last Monday, the White House announced that it will start issuing waivers this fall for states to avoid the onerous provisions of No Child Left Behind (NCLB). The White House is making states sign on to the Obama education agenda in order to receive a waiver, completely bypassing Congress and the normal legislative process.” (Weekly Standard)

Can someone tell me why he’s not a sleazebag?

As opposed to a President that launched a war that increased the influence of Iran in the Middle East?

  5. Jules Gordon says:

    Your Honor,

Did you just make that up. Nice. Our present president is a sleazebag. He is making an end run around congress with his education waivers. He is destroying the American Education system. I guess we have Bush and Ted Kennedy to thank for that. Now Obama will put his knife into it.

Iran was well into working its influence. It now is on the verge of becoming a Nuclear Nation thanks to our community organizer incompetent.

Do remember, “He’s (Iranian president) has until the end of the month (there were so many-just pick one) to stop the Nuclear development.”

It’s Iran’s nuclear power grab that gives it influence and our Commander and Chief just sat there and did nothing.

Now Mr. perfect is going around on his Misery Bus Tour lying. “I turned the recession around until all this stuff happened”.

He’s already surpassed Carter as the most horrible President ever.

I still fear he may get a 2nd term.
