Obama Stays on Health Care

The President uses the weekly message to stay on health care, taking the time to debunk some of the claims being made against Democratic proposals for reform. He talks about some of the misinformation being spread, including revisiting death panels, mandatory coverage for abortion, illegal immigrants being covered under health care reform, and big government taking over health care. But once again one of the key factoids that needs to be considered that gets somewhat glossed over is the Presidents point that health care premiums are rising at three times the rate of wage growth. What the President did not mention is that this massive inflation in health care costs has been going on for some time and has already cut a hugely destructive swarth through our economy. His point that there is a day of reckoning coming is right on target. Read the numbers, and you can only come to the conclusion that the day of reckoning is closer than many think. It is self evident that no one party or philosophy has a monopoly on truth or good policy. But I find it inexplicable that in light of what is staring us right in the face that some just advocate leaving the current system in place.

    Your Honor,

I still appose this legislation based on the principle it will destroy our Constitutional Republic and free market place.

The President is correct that there is a prolification of misinformation. Of course the President is one of the major dispenser.

You cannot claim the Republican Party as the boogyman in opposing the president’s drive to socialized healthcare on just the voting numbers alone. The President can get anything past with a filibuster proof majority anytime there is a willingness on part of the legislators. So, your Honor, seek blame in your own divided party for the devil.

One more item, the party of the people has driven the debt to 9 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. (CBO) More to come.

Oh, my God. Could it be that the argument is so simple that even Joe Scarborough gets it? Could his Republican water have finally broke?

    Fred,
Since you brought it up, I learned that the VA has issued a booklet with a Death Panel questionnaire. Bushed killed it. Obama brought it back. It will be in an Obama Health care bill.

    Goodbye Grandma.

    Okay Fred.

If you can be patient with me I will provide you with the information you want.

You will not find the info in the New York Time, Boston Globe, MSNBC, etc.

The youtube video is taken from a fox news interview with Chris Wallace (son of Mike Wallace) to a Bush administrator who found the pamphlet being given to returning veteran during the Bush era. Bush pulled the pamphlet.

It was re-established by Obama. Chris Wallace interviewed the lady who administers one of the veteran departments that issues the pamphlet.

Now, lets stay cool. I will now try to find the pamphlet itself now while you watch the interview.

Facts will have bear this out, and I will work with you.
