No matter what happens with Mr. Baker, Deval Patrick will need more than his race and “together we can” campaign rhetoric to win a second term.

I wasn’t paying attention at the time, but isn’t this the guy that got the Turnpike Authority pregnant with the swaption deals?
If so, are we supposed to support him on the same theory as bailing out AIG, so he can fix the mess he caused?

Talking to Fred’s point (he loves to travel back in time: I think he blames Republicans for the Civil War) Charlie Baker could save the day and eliminate the sales tax increase. Then Fred would forgive him.
