The Obama Message on Health Care

This week President Obama talks health care in his weekly message. The President has spoken about health care before, but it has never been more important. Without cost containment in health care the entire economy is in danger, in my view. Even in this downturn we would not have the problems that we have without health care consuming ever greater portions of our economy. As the health care system gobbles more and more of our resources it leaves us fighting hard amongst ourselves for what is left. There are some real differences in approach, but more of the same will not do.

    Your Honor,

    This is a horror story. Our state has implemented a health care system that it cannot afford unless there is substantial subsidy from the federal government. Now that source is drying up so there will be rationing. I know, I’ve have been rationed myself.

    Obama pontificates, speaking in grandiose terms, exciting the same lemmings that followed Deval Patrick and President Obama into “together we can” vagueness.

    Then he turns the writing of the law to Nanacy Pelosi and Harry Reid. I’ll let that lie.

    A couple of issue to chew over;

    1. The Federal Government has never run a successful health program. The Medicare system is going broke.

    2. Obama’s own words, ” we’re are out of money”. So where does he get the money required to run this multi billion program?

    Then there is shift toward socialism to which this boondoggle will contribute.

    Your Honor,

    Forgot to mention “there is that “reform” message again. Does that work anywhere in Government?
