Mayor Manzi and Jules:
For equal time, here is the Republican response (http://www.cspan.org/Watch/Media/2009/05/23/HP/A/18967/Republican+Weekly+Address.aspx)to President Obama’s address given by Senator John Barrasso R-WY

Gerard,
Thanks. I bet this message becomes a wist in the air. Wrong fight for Republicans. Bland and uninteresting.
With all that’s going for Obama with a mesmerized public and a captured media the only way Obama/Democrats can lose is to have the economy tank. It is not a wish as much as much as an expectation from his policies.
Some indications of impending Inflation are in the air. Drudge has a C-Span story in which Obama says he is ‘out of money’. Haven’t heard this on the general news.
We will have wait and see how things work out.
