Inside the Republican Leadership Conference

The Republicans are on a roll, and with great leaders like John Boehner leading the charge against Barack Obama, how can they be stopped?

    Your Honor,

I don’t know what to say. Jim and Fred will be congratulating you soon.

It’s going to be a period of Democratic rule. The question is will they fall in the trap of overconfidence as did the Republicans.

We will have to wait and see.

    Jules.

Mayor — Congratulations! Jules….we aim to please! 🙂

However, it is funny to see your numerous posts indicating “…we will have to wait and see..”, when you have an even greater number of posts condemning nearly every breath the democrats take, and presumably ‘willing’ them to fail. Pot, meet kettle.

When I was watching Saturday night, I thought the only thing they missed was more tax cuts for the wealthy. Otherwise, they pretty much had it.

Maybe it’s so sad, because it’s also so true.

Why is it that the comedians (SNL, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert) do a better job than the rest of the paid media corps?

Mr. Speaker: I think the trap the Republicans fell into was that they tried to hide a policy of bankrupting the government and concentrating wealth and power as a populist message: it’s not a trap. It’s just a fool’s game.

    Your Honor,

The House and Senate Republicans have identified themselves for what they really are, people who have stayed too long at the fair. Their intention is to say “NO” to every piece of legislation that is put forth by the President. Not only are they in opposition to the wishes of the majority of Americans, but they are extremely impotent in their thinking concerning the economic crisis. The Republicans are their own worst enemy—–but you already knew that.
