Mayor,
The Reverse-911 system used by the school department strikes us as being somewhat misused — to the point that call recipients might one day actually become deaf to a really important SERIOUS message.
We’ve seen that system being used to excess in the CGS district to inform about school shows or shows being rescheduled, remind about fundraisers both within the school, as well as at nearby restaurants, remind about upcoming half days, report cards and last, but not least to inform about snow days (which can be found out on TV, school department website, and of course, your fine blog)…
The school committe/department may wish to reconsider the important need for this system, and weigh that against its’ current overuse….
Thanks!!

I will pass along those sentiments. That is a whole lot of use.
