Sal’s Pizza has arrived in Methuen. I had the pleasure of joining Sal Lupoli and franchise owner Wilfredo Laboy Jr. along with Howe Street Superette owner Gary Hammond as we cut the ribbon on the newest location for Sal’s pizza, located in Gary’s spacious Howe Street Superette. I was joined by Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce honcho Joseph Beviliqua, as well as Economic Development Director Karen Sawyer, and Dennis Marcello, representing Senator Steve Baddour. We appreciate the jobs and investment Mr. Lupoli is bringing to Methuen, and look forward to future projects with him.

Food critic comment follows:
We’ve been in to that Sal’s location twice now for Sal’s famous pizza of which I’ve had many and unfortunately, both times it’s been lacking in quality/taste and nothing like any other Sal’s to which we’ve been…A Hawaiian made with SPAM?! Go figure!
It’s got to be pretty bad when even the kids complain. I don’t think we’ll be back there any time soon…
