Republicans Show great consistency

Hey how about those Republicans! They sure are consistent. Lets watch this Comedy Central video and have Jules explain away the hilarious Republican inconsistencies highlighted by Jon Stewart. Great video. And I believe it was a Mr. B. Bunny who had it right when he said: “What a group of maroons”.

A great entry your honor. What does it prove?

In an election cycle lasting two years the players will say everything, and they do.

The most disturbing montage was the visions of Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi all saying that Iraq is lead by a monster who has “weapons of Mass Destruction” and he must be defeated. All this before the war.

They then turned on George Bush after the war started, made themselves out to be piecenicks or said they were fooled by GW or some other lie. I’m sure you saw that as I posted the URL in an earlier posting.

Anyway it was funny and I’m sure all 30 of John Stewart’s audience saw it.

    Jules,
I am not sure I understand your point here. Lets see if I can decipher.

    1) Democrats should be roundly criticized for pointing out that Sarah Palin is inexperienced and may lack qualifications for the Vice Presidency.

    2) Republicans who made the exact same argument about a Democrat with vastly more experience than Palin should not be criticized because
a)The subject of their criticism was a man
    b) Its a political season, and Republicans may say anything they want because we should understand that they all lie anyway.

Those are some pretty compelling points. I will have to think about conversion to the Republican Party.

    Your Honor,
Actually all I said, and I repeat myself is, IN THE TWO YEARS OF A TORTURED CAMPAIGN, A MYRIAD OF QUESTIONS WILL BRING A VARIETY OF ANSWERS. THIS IS BI-PARTISAN.

YOU SHOWED JON STEWART IN A CLEVER MONTAGE OF STATEMENTS. I SAY NO ONE CAN STAND THAT LEVEL OF SCRUTINY AND NOT FALL VICTIM TO CONTRARY STATEMENTS.

I GAVE YOU A LESS FUNNY MONTAGE OF DEMOCRATS PARROTING GEORGE BUSHE’S WORD BEFORE THE WAR. THEY THEN CHANGED THEIR MINDS AND EXCORIATED HIM AFTER IT STARTED..

    Now back to your pointS.

    1. as a governor Palin has more executive experience than all the remaining 3 men.

    2. Our VP is as quAlified as you presidential candidate.

Under my philosophy that a resume is NOT a predictor of future performance. Would you have selected Harry Truman, a county hack and Haberdasher, to be a breath away from the red button. He did OK.

The 4 candidates have been legitimately selected and have the right to run for the offices.

Joe Biden has more foriegn contacts that either Obama or Palin. Obama is not a heart beat away. He’s first in line and is an empty suit as far as experience is concerned.

I told you before this campaign is much too long. You guys better get back to issues and stop this silly campaign against McCain.

For instance; did you know one reason McCain can’t work the Internet is that his war injury prevents him from using a keyboard as well as tying his shoes?

What going to happen when that comes to light.

By the way, do you want me to send you and Jim a Republican registration form?

    Jules,
I have not had much to say on this blog about Palins experience. I am amused that the Republicans start howling when such questions arise. They have been launching experience questions at Obama for some time now. Yet Obama doesn’t whine, cry foul, and assert dirty pool. Only you and the Republicans do that. All of a sudden it is out of bounds. You guys do reams of opposition research, but if we do it it is dirty pool. If we want to talk about her record as governor, that is dirty pool. Yet the McCain campaign tells a whopper on Obama supporting sex education and that is ok. The campaign ought to deal with health care, the economy, national security, and things that impact our lives. Republicans rarely want to compete at that level.

    Jules,
Again, it’s all about whose spin one wants to believe, but I guess those mccain war injuries must be healing:

“I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that down fairly soon, getting on myself,” McCain told the New York Times in an interview that appeared Sunday. “I don’t expect to be a great communicator, I don’t expect to set up my own blog, but I am becoming computer literate to the point where I can get the information that I need.”

Even so, McCain bluntly admits, “I don’t e-mail. I’ve never felt the particular need to e-mail.”

    Your Honor,

I suggest you breath into a paper bag.

    Now let’s do the numbers.

    1. Does Obama whine. No, but he does do attack ads and lies.

    2. Has Joe Biden had a sit down with an antagonistic reporter who squints over his glasses and answer snotty questions of his many years and gaffs in congress? NO! There is an unfair focus on her.

    4. You are wrong. You apparently did not read my response above about his support of an education bill that would give the National Education Association the right to determine “age appropriate” sex education for kindergarten children. I am not even sure if it passed. It would have his vote. If you do research instead of falling for campaign worker lies.

    5. Your are wrong again about issue oriented discussion. IT IS OBAMA WHO HAS REFUSED TO MEET JOHN McCAIN IN DIRECT MANO-A-MANO TOWNHALL FORMAT. NO JOURNALIST LIBERA ALLIES OR MODERATOR. JUST THE TWO. OBAMA STILL IS AFRAID.NO ADS, JUST ISSUES.

Can you answer the question; why is Obama avoiding multiple face to face discussions?

    Jules,
Joe Biden has not been invited to sit down to talk with Charlie Gibson, but if he does an interview you can rest assured that he will exihibit far greater knowledge that Governor Palin did.

I am not wrong on the boldfaced lie told by McCain on sex education. You continually accuse others of “parroting” democratic lines, yet you simply go to the house organs of Republican orthodoxy and repeat that nonsense verbatim. Lets look at that issue. McCain cited a bill that everyone agrees dealt with teaching kids what would constitute “improper contact”. You may agree or disagree with the bill, but it certainly was not sex education for kindergarten. It was designed to protect kids from predators. The Republican dirty tricks department went real low on that one, and they know it.
