Well, how did he do? Was it as effective with Republicans as Sarah Palin? Detailed enough?

MAN! And I thought Lieberman’s speech was a sleeper…?!

Your Honor,
John McCain is not a good speaker, but he is a compelling person. As you know I do not like many of his policies. I will, however, vote for him to protect the nature of the constitution in the composition of the supreme court. I will keep my fingers crossed for the rest of it.
If Obama wins I fear for the freedom of our grandchildren.

Jim,
Did you stay awake during Obama’s coronation er…. speech?

Jules,
Excuse my ignorance, but would that be the same Constitution that’s been shredded over the past eight years? And if you’re REALLY fearful for the freedom of our grandchildren, you’ve been doing a Rip Van Winkle for the past eight…

Jim,
The last I remember the constitution is still in tact. Even George Bush can’t do that in. The fairness doctrine now making it’s way through congress and only needs a Democratic victory in November to pass it will do in the first amendment.

McCain did a fabulous job, he was compelling and came across as a capable, good man with a great deal of warmth. As a matter of fact, even though you compared him to Dean Wormer, he very very much reminded me of you, Mr. Mayor. He is heads and shoulders above Nobama.

But why has Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter compared voting for McCain to drinking poison. All the attributes that made McCain a “maverick” brought heaps of ridicule from Republicans before he was the nominee. What has changed? I think I would have to apologize for the Dean Wormer crack. He more closely resembles Senator Blutarsky.

Wrong again, dear.

Geez, I could swear that Coulter and el rushbo had condemned McCain in the strongest and most vile terms. I guess your denial will force me to post their comments here directly.

I was talking about the Senator Blutarsky observation. Wrong again.
As for Rush and Ann, two great Americans, I have no problems with their observations. Frankly, it matters to me not at all. Should Buchanan’s comments about Palin influence you in any way?? Didn’t think so.
The important thing here is for Nobama to go down. In a crushing crescendo of defeat. Rush, Ann, and I are all in agreement on that one.

And, don’t even THINK of incorporating ‘crushing crescendo’ into your repertoire.

Your Honor,
You are right about the talk radio conservatives. They did not like that McCain took on liberal positions, including illegal alien amnesty which drove them wild.
Like me they have come to the reality of McCain being the nominee. They will vote for him now. One reason is to protect the Supreme Court.
To you sadness we are all on the same page.
