Joe Biden gave a fine speech to the Convention tonight, detailing his moving personal story and going after his friend John McCain on the scores of policy disagreements that the campaign wishes to emphasize. Biden hit the Republicans pretty good, but in that Biden style that tends to soften the blows. I thought it was an effective speech, with a suprise appearance by Barack Obama at the end. Good job by Biden!

Hear, hear Jules!
In the case of both Biden’s and Clinton’s speeches, I’d expect no less of a response from any truly dispassionate conservative. Thanks for not disappointing me.
