Can’t fix what you don’t understand

The latest Obama ad, pointing to McCains favorable pronouncements on the economy while many citizens suffer. The Obama attempt to portray McCain as not well versed on economic matters as well as out of touch with reality on that subject, in my opinion, can have positive impact for Obama. Good ad for Obama, but more of the same needed to drive the point home.

    Your Honor,
I wonder the juxtaposition of the McCain video clips in time with the status of the economy.

The respondents are the liberal “winers”.

There are still traffic jams going in to Boston; There are still mobs at Best Buy, Walmart, etc.

Costs are going up but anyone with half a brain knows that Obama will raise our taxes (more money out of the pocket), punish big business by taxing “excess profits” (we will pay for that in reduced supplies or increased prices).

I wonder how many liberals will cancel their trip to the DNC convention due to cost constraints.

To highlight the state of the economy I understand the Limousine Liberals have run out of Limousines in Denver. Hmmm…….

The ad will impress only those already in Obama’s corner. Everyone else will judge it for what it is..a high school play.

Question; what is the present unemployment rate?

From the US Dept of Labor:

Both the number of unemployed persons (8.8 million) and the unemployment rate
(5.7 percent) rose in July. Over the past 12 months, the number of unemployed
persons has increased by 1.6 million, and the unemployment rate has risen by 1.0
    percentage point.

    Your Honor,

I remember when 6% was considered full employment.

Maybe you guys ought to stop talking down the economy. After all, psychology (the sky is falling) is an economic parameter.

I worry about this states financial quagmire more so than the national.

Question: just how superior is Obama’s experience with the economy than McCain’s? Maybe they are both without strong economic credentials.

I would like to see Obama videos describing his economic qualifications.

Remember when the Dems said Bush/Cheney were talking down the economy in 2000? Nobody has talked down this economy. People cannot afford basic necessities, and will have to make some real hard choices this heating season.

I do not maintain that Obama has superior economic qualifications. I maintain that continuing on the road of monster deficits, huge tax cuts for the Republican donor base, overseas committments we cannot afford, are a recipe for disaster. Obama is not correct on every subject. But we have tried the Bush/Cheney/McCain road for eight years. Look at the results.

    Your Honor,

After distilling your comment above it boils down to high gas and oil prices. As I pointed out, that is largely a Democratic/liberal fault. Protect the view, and the reindeer.

I don’t recall huge tax cuts for Republican donor base. Wait….you mean a tax cut for the rich. Where have I heard that before. Your honor even you seem to be reading the talking point chapter out of the little red book.

You need new ideas. Wait, you have one a tax increase for all.

    I can hardly wait.

Drill here, drill now. Vote yes on prop 1. I have been reading from the little blue book.
