McCains Economics

Barack Obama’s latest internet ad, hitting McCain on economics. Obama cites a story we blogged on here about the huge Iraqi surplus being built while America spends billions on Iraqi infrastructure. Do you think he picked it up by reading this blog? OK, maybe not, but it is a valid point, and one that resonates with people in the U.S.

  1. Jules Gordon says:

    Your Honor,
    Economics is like a weather forecast. Easy to tell what happened yesterday, damned hard to predict tomorrow.

    Obama’s points;
    1. McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time. Economics NO. Tired mantra yes.

    2. Oil at record prices. Did your economic wizard vote to ban harvesting resources in promising areas to please his environmental lawyer friends? He is a high price contributor.

    His solutions:
    1.Tax the people who supply our oil (or take a tax perk away-same thing) We pay for that. Economics by punishment. I missed that part of economics 101.

    2. Better schools Huh??? Oh, more tax spending. Economic growth through taxes.

    Your light weight beginner senator may need to crack an economics book (wouldn’t hurt if you checked one out too).

    Only worshipers of the Mesiah would fall for this Democrat talking point collection.

    Sorry, your honor, doesn’t work for me.

    The loyal opposition,

    Jules.
