Barack Obama, under attack by the McCain campaign on oil pricing, hit back with a new ad today. The lines are clearly drawn, as Obama dismisses the immediate benefit on oil pricing that additional drilling would bring. He lays out the need for alternatives to our current energy policy, and throws in the thousand dollar rebate for good measure. Is it effective?

This ad has all the truth of a Boston Globe article.
Let’s examine the facts.
Obama; he says (paraphrase), The Republicans have a plan to drill that won’t supply oil for 7 years.
Fact; The above is true. What he doesn’t say is that the Liberal lefts defeated a bill to allow harvesting oil 6 years ago. THAT EARLIER BILL WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN OIL STARTING TO ENTER THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM NOW.
Obama is denigrating McCain by connecting him to president Bush. Well, that’s only fair play as the Republicans have tied Obama to the second coming and Britany Spears.
Any implementation of alternative energy will take years before the various technologies can be made efficient and economic.
Meanwhile, the Liberal plan is to remain dependent on our enemies to supply our energy needs.
Mr. Obama is correct, McCain has been part of the problem as has been the Democrats and Republicans. How many times have you heard the phrase, “We need to do something to rid ourselves of dependence on foreign oil.” The drilling law has been around at least since Bush 41. Clinton signed the administration version. (Bipartisan screw up)
Barak plans to get the $1,000 rebate by taxing “Big Oil” for the amount.
Your Honor, Do you believe taxing big oil profits to cover rebates will actually be to the benefit of the motorists, or will they pay for it in the price of the fuel?

Can you tell me what is Barak Obama’s energy plan? The TV shows have made a slide show of Obama’s declarations over the past few years both in video news clips and audio playbacks.
This guy is not a flip-flopper, he is changing at such a rate as to make him like a harmonic oscillation frequency.
His explanations include explanation of what he said previously, then a qualification of that explanation, then followed by a new modified stance with more explanations and qualifications as questions point out absurdity of his comments (we can be independent of foreign oil if we watch our tire pressure).
Now he declares if we do it his way we will be independent of foreign oil in 10 years.
Of course it will be too late because, according to Al Gore we will all be dead.
What goes here, your honor? Clear it up for me please.
