Hillary Clinton, in an eloquent speech, called for Democratic unity and endorsed Barack Obama today. Senator Clinton’s speech, while expected, was a fine talk that put to rest any talk of her not being totally supportive of the party nominee. As a delegate to today’s convention it is clear to me that she maintains wide support within the Democratic Party. Kudos for a fine speech. On to November.

It’s still all about Hillary. She’s a political Stepford wife. You have to read between the lines.
Obama better not turn his back on her.

Unfortunately, Hillary attacked Obama in ways that will be hard to explain how she now gives her “full” support to the nominee. At times, she seemed to uphold John McCain as the better candidate. Having heard many Hillary supporters say they would not vote for Obama if she did not get the nomination, he I am hopeful that she will work diligently, long and hard, to get those who voted for her to realize that all Dems and Independents must vote for Obama, even if for the possible two Supreme Court positions that will be open in the next for years. Then, once president, we have to push Obama to more progressive in his solutions than either candidate has shown in the primary race.
Those boos I heard from some of her supporters during the above speech does not bode well, so she has some work to do to shake off any thought that he should not get the vote. But onward, united! The alternative would be the continuation of an eight year disaster to America and its people.

I have some “hope” that the Dems create sufficient chaos to get McCain to muddle their plans. I say this realizing McCain is not a practicing Republican.
