The American Future Fund has launched a TV ad targeted towards 18 House districts currently occupied by Democrats. The Fix over at the Washington Post tells us that 11 of those 18 districts were carried by John McCain in the last Presidential election. As the President keeps up the pressure on the House to pass a health care bill the midterms will be weighing heavily on Democratic Representatives minds, especially those that are in those McCain districts. If the Democrats are to get a bill they better do it quickly as this type of pressure is only the beginning. Remember when President Obama issued his “deadline” statements on health care last year? At the time all seemed to agree that passing a bill of this magnitude in an election year would not be possible. Has that changed?
