Speaker Nancy Pelosi is under withering fire from the Republicans, although I doubt that any real damage has been done to her. As best I understand the Republican starting argument they say that Pelosi is guilty of not objecting to or reporting the fact that the Republican Administration may have been using illegal methods of interrogation. Interesting argument. The Speaker has been less than skillful in her response, and has gotten tangled up pretty badly on the CIA briefing issue, which has given the story additional legs and had Republicans like Newt Gingrich calling for her resignation. They think they smell blood in the water, but I believe the Democratic caucus is solidly with her. The RNC has launched the ad below, which seems to compare the Speaker to Pussy Galore of “Goldfinger” fame. They must have forgotten that Ms. Galore saved the day for 007 in Goldfinger.

Mayor Manzi:
Hi. I thought this video was excellent. It shows the Speakers true colors.

Your Honor,
Nice try at deflection. Your support of the Speaker is as honest as your support of all those state forums that discussed ‘reform before revenue’ which was totally ignored. You knew the the end result, but you supported them with praise. Meanwhile we pay more taxes.
It looks like Harry Reid also put his foot in his mouth.
Your support of Nancy Pelosi calling the CIA liars will go the same way. But, you will give her a pass anyway.
I claim you are waddling in this Republican mud to keep from having to discuss;
Obama the war monger
Obama the autoexe.
Obama the distruction of law
Obama the taxer.
Obama’s war on business.

Well I do not know where to start. The Speaker clearly mishandled her response, and has been out flanked by the Republicans as far as her CIA charge goes. But what I point out in my post is absolutely true.
1) The Democratic caucus remains solidly with her.
2) The issue just has not had traction.
From the Fix at the Washington Post:
I just do not see the American public getting all excited about what Pelosi knew. It still is all about the economy.

I reply:
1. Birds of a feather.
2. The traction you are talking about is about the news cycle and possibly public fatigue of the antics of Obama liberal goof balls. ‘Oh, you want details about closing Gitmo?’
3. let me summarize: Pelosi has charged the CIA with misleading her and congress. That is a serious violation of law. If she is wrong, it could have an adverse effect on the organization and its personnel. The president has already insulted them for their past behavior under the despicable Bush administration. Meanwhile you rely on polling to bring this thing to an end?
More opinion:
The woman is sick. Makes Biden look like a upper grade MENSA member.
She should resign as speaker. The liberals insisted the removal of several Republicans on charges much less serious.
Answer one question for me. How do you feel seeing her on TV implode while trying to squirm out of her last response?
I await your reply.

Your Honor,
After accusing the CIA of lying to congress and to her in particular, depending on her answer du jur,
The most honorable Democratic Congress circled the wagons around her (I bet the meetings must have been interesting. I assume they were discussing the principles of justice). This group of principled lawmakers who cheered at the finding Scooter Libby of lying regarding that CIA operative, Valerie Plame.
Of course, when the speaker charges the entire CIA of lying while obviously lying herself (she gave both sides of her story-one must be a lie) those paragons of virtue voted not to investigate her transgressions.
Classy. How do you explain this?
