“This is Reality” has put out a new ad “touting” clean coal. Pretty good humor for the holidays.

    Your Honor,
This one of three or so adds by activists meant to influence gullible citizens of the relation between smoke stack pollution and the global warming fraud.

What isn’t a fraud is the pollution generated from the power plant smoke stacks. When I was working in the Navajo mine, which fed the four corners power plant, I once chased the smoke stack smoke west for 300 miles. And they have filters.

For our health alone we need cleaner burning coal. I have to admit I don’t understand the chemistry of clean coal, and why it hasn’t happened yet, or how far it has to go.

To add to problem the Chinese appear to be building a large number coal mines and will be multiplying th problem.

Blog edit; “coal mine” should be “coal fired power plants”.

Coal plants are also responsible for the fact that you cannot safely eat fish from New England lakes. Every time it rains, we take a mercury bath from the midwest.

And to answer why we don’t have “clean coal” yet: any implementation would not positively affect the bottom line of a power company.

Not that those crazy coal guys haven’t tried to convince us that coal is clean before, check out last century’s attempt …
