Now for those who have posted that Palin is mistreated by the Democrats and the big bad media lets get a grip on her answer to the question of her foreign policy experience. I suppose that some will say that this was a trick question by Katie Couric, or maybe the quality of the Palin response was dictated by the fact the she was on C.B.S. (Clinton Broadcast Service). Regardless of all that can a Palin supporter say with a straight face that the clip is not a total embarassment? Has the Republican hatred of intellectuals brought us to this point, and if so should Harvard be razed to the ground (with their endowment used to cover the national debt)?

As if there wasn’t enough of that interview that comedians aren’t going to pick apart – specifically John Stewart.
From her repeat answer to the Davis question, to failing to provide proof of McCain’s support for government regulations (‘I’ll get back ta ya’), to her foreign policy inexperience — which she either hasn’t even tried to improve upon, or was simply having another blonde moment and forgot what she was tutored to say. Man, I’m gonna watch that one again and again….
Yes, I recognize everybody makes gaffes. In fact, I’ll be the first to say that I suck at public speaking. However, even the Dick can articulate a thought — albeit lies. But this is REALLY embarrassing!!! Have they NO humility?!

I’d love to know if these ‘gotcha’ questions were posed to Al Gore, Walter Mondale, et al, when they were running for vice president. No, no, they weren’t. But let’s ask Sarah! Please, if this isn’t a clear demonstration that the leftist media isn’t out to get her, I don’t know what is.

I think the news media knows that they are dealing with a lightweight in the form of Sarah Palin. The best thing she can do for our country is admit that she is way in over her head and resign for personal reasons. It’s really shocking that some people actually fell for Sarah Palin’s story. Let’s ask an Alaskan what they really think!

I want to know if B. Hussein Obama is held to the same standard as Sarah. B. Hussein can give a two-hour talk and say absolutely nothing. But he looks good doing it. Unless, of course, his teleprompter malfunctions. Then he’s as lost as a blind man in a blizzard. But the blind man is treated with kid gloves when HE’S lost.
And has this conservative columnist held Biden, the human-gaffe machine up the same standard? And let’s, just for the fun of it, compare Couric’s interview with Bumblin’ Biden and her interview with Sarah. Bumblin’ Biden isn’t INTERROGATED by Couric. Let Biden do a question-and-answer with someone that will grill him. Let’s see if Bumblin’ Biden would do an interview with, say, Sean Hannity. He wouldn’t do it if his very life depended on it. But that glaring fact is completely ignored.
This Parker person holds Palin to a standard far in excess of what either B. Hussein or Biden have been held to. And that is an outrage.

Obama did the O’Reilly Factor, in case you forgot. The question given by Couric was not a trick question, or a gotcha question. The Republicans put out the thought that part of Palin’s foreign policy resume was that her state bordered Russia. The question was asked “HOW”. The Republicans put out what is plainly a stupid concept, and someone asks how being in close proximity to Russia gives you special knowledge of Russia. The correct answer for Sarah Palin was “it doesn’t, but as Governor I have concentrated on matters of business and trade, and will build on that as Vice President”. The answer given here showed that she is WAY out of her league, and clearly has no idea.

Oh, but Bumblin’ Biden who can tell us ALL ABOUT the 1929 crash and Roosevelt reassuring people on television. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???? HE’S A MORON. If Palin had ever said that, she’d be toast. You don’t even HEAR about that debacle. Because he’s with that stuffed-shirt-in-an-empty-suit B.Hussein. And they can say ANYTHING and get away with it. They can be as STUPID as they are, and get away with it. They are given a HUGE pass. Because the media is so in the tank with them, it’s criminal.

If that’s the case Patrizia, it’s sure a good thing that the media wasn’t in bed with the Republican administration the past eight years. Imagine if they were, the lies Bush and company could have gotten away with…oh wait, they did.

Gotten away with what, exactly. The media has destroyed Bush. He is viewed as an idiot. They did an outstanding job with Bush. They are attempting to do the same with McCain. And I just hope the American people reply strongly on November 4th and put McCain in office. But watch, if they do, they’re going to be accused by the media of being racist. There will be symposiums, protests, gnashing of teeth, et al to ‘discuss’ the underlying racists that we all are. Spurred on by the media.

Patrizia,
After doing a little OBJECTIVE research, one will find that FDR did serve during the depths of the depression, and very well may have adddressed that issue on television. What is your point, that he shouldn’t have?!
So my friend (that’s a McCainism btw), stop sticking to foxsnooze for your sole source of research.
From the White House website:
“Assuming the Presidency at the depth of the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt”
Furthermore, and with all due respect, you, my dear, (edited to remove personal insult # 1) ladies and gentleman please now (editor)

He is viewed as an idiot because his administration may be the most incompetent in history. His bungling has cost this country dearly. Again the anti-intellectual bent of the Republican Party has reached its pinnacle with Palin.

Jim:
Objective research, you say? Ok, let’s look at what Bumblin’Biden says: “When the stock market crashed, Franklin Delano Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said ‘look, here’s what happened.'”
Let’s take that quote apart, shall we? Can you keep up, Jim-bo?
‘When the stock market crashed…’ That was in 1929. Well, you see Jim, in 1929 FDR wasn’t president. That was Hoover. FDR was simply a lowly governor at that juncture.
Are you paying attention, Jim? Ok, next:
‘Franklin Delano Roosevelt got on the television…’
He did?? In 1929?? When there were no television sets and wouldn’t be until a full decade later (when they were introduced at the 1939 World Fair).
Fact of the matter is when you say ‘…very well may have addressed the issue on television…’why that showcases (edited to remove personal insult) please please….. (editor)Why don’t you go drink some more kool-aid, jimbo, and come up with more (edited to remove personal insult # 2) (now now….) (editor)

Foremost, the last paragraph sure did make me chuckle. Either you are very creative in expressing your humor, or the mayor spared me from some very derogatory insults. If the latter was the case, no surprise considering your party affiliation. 😉
I’m convinced you’re among the remaining 22% who still thinks the shrub is doing a good job. Apparently foxsnooze antiseptic right-wing version of the news can sometimes oversimplify things for the feeble-minded.
With that in mind, here are some cliffnotes Sarah Palin style because apparently research taxes you too much.
Stock market crash (where money is invested and lost) in 1929; depression (dee-presh-un) ends ~ 1939.
Television (tell-uh-viz-un) being broadcast (that means to send a signal over air) beginning in 1931(that means it started in 1931).
Roosevelt (rose-a-velt) president (prez-uh-dent) beginning 1933 (means to start in 1933) .
Follow closely now because I’m about to throw a lot at you interview style:
Did Roosevelt ever talk about ‘when the stock market crashed’ as Biden stated? Probably.
Did he do it on TV? Very well could have been (unfortunately, unlike yourself, I wasn’t here to see it, although I will give you credit, because it’s obvious even at your advanced age that your technological skills surpass mcsame’s).
Did Biden ever say that FDR was president WHEN the stock market crashed? I never heard it. Did you?

Please post the video of Biden stating that in 1929 “FDR” went on “television” to address the nation after the stock market crash. Katie Couric is a hatchet-woman for the DNC. She treated Palin with contempt from the get-go.

Here’s one of the really tough questions katie couric asked joe biden. “You say what’s on your mind and I think people appreciate that. Have you found that you have to be uber-careful and disciplined in terms of being out on the campaign trail?”
