Your Honor,
Don’t you wish you were a dictator and could rule by fiat?
“As of tomorrow morning all cars will run on Natural Gas or we will cut off your gas pedal leg”.
Iran: 40 million people under dictators.
US: almost 400 million each a free man or woman who thinks they know better than anyone.
Ain’t gona happen here until it’s affordable and efficient and you tie up Mr. Pope.
Does anybody think these things through.

In answer to your first question please be advised that I certainly agree that a benevolent Manzi dictatorship would be a step in the right direction. I am also fond of executive fiat. I do believe that taking away your pen, telephone and computer would be first amongst my priorities upon assuming dictatorial control. Dictators rarely enjoy differing opinions. Jim will be First Minister upon my assumption of power!

Your Honor,
I could become your first “prisoner”. You can assign Jim as my jailer. We could discuss politics, but that would be dangerous for me.
Jules: Jim, Im a conservative.
Jim, Guard, off with his head.
“Mayor for life Manzi” never has to buy Starbucks again.
