Methuen lost a very good man and an outstanding priest when Father John McLaughlin of St Monicas’s Parish in Methuen was assigned to be the first national vocations director at the Archdiocese of the Military in Washington D.C. Father John left about a month ago, and the Parish and the City will miss him dearly. I am late getting this posting up, but the outpouring for him at the going away party was reflective of the esteem he was held in by our community. I miss him already, although he tweeked me on a regular basis over my support for the Democratic Party. Thank you for your great work for our community Father John.
