NBC News is projecting that Senator Barack Obama will win tonights Mississippi primary. While the Obama win was expected it appears that some real racial polarization is taking place, with Obama winning 90 percent of the African American vote but only about a third of the white vote. Obama had been showing some positive trends demographically in the last few contests, and this fissure that appears to be developing cannot be considered helpful for the prospects of a Democratic victory in November.
