The Methuen Arlington Neighborhood is scheduled to open the new community center on Tenney Street on February 12. We have worked on this project for two years, and to see it come to fruition is a joy for me personally and proof positive that a neighborhood, with hard work and sacrifice, can achieve the greatest of goals. With the grand opening on February 12 the community center will expand the space available for the after school programs, library assistance, homework help, and computer programs run from this facility. The WIC program (Women, Infants and Children) a nutrional program, will occupy the first floor. Congratulations to the volunteers of MAN, Inc. and thanks to Karen Sawyer, our Economic Development and Planning guru, who worked so hard to put all of the pieces together. I am pictured handing over the building keys to Linda Soucy of MAN Inc. Read the Tribune story here.

Congratulations to Linda Soucy and the rest of the members of Man, Inc. for getting this done. It has been a long journey and alot of work for all involved. Mayor Manzi needs to take a big bow as well for fostering the cooperation between the Arlington Neighborhood and Methuen City Hall for the past 15 years.
