Have not written at all about the Sixth Congressional District race, which has heated up with the news of the guilty plea of Congressman Tieney’s wife to tax . Tierney has done his best to deflect the issue and refocus on some of the quirky past of his Republican opponent Bill Hudak, but he has taken a hard hit with his wife’s guilty plea. The debate on Fox had both candidates talking over each other, with Hudak trying to focus in on Patrice Tierney’s legal difficulties while Tierney tried to steer the conversation elsewhere. The anchor had trouble holding the boys down.

Quirky, your honor, really? What I came away from the debate was the specter of Tierney’s Democratic debating skills; over shouting your opponent while reading from the little red book.

Yes quirky. I agree that Tierney would have been better advised to be humble, but Hudak putting up signs equating the President with Osama Bin Laden is more than quirky. It is plain out nuts. The birther stuff is nutty as well.
