Seeing that I gave a post to Michael Steele attacking Rush Limbaugh our own “fairness doctrine” requires that I give “El Rushbo” some equal time. You see, the fairness doctrine is not always a bad thing. Rush decries the fact that Republicans always seek him out to do the “dirty work” and then “cut him off at the knees” when the heat is on. Well Rush has a good point. Why, why do they not have the courage of El Rushbo in calling for failure?

Your Honor,
You seem to be having a good time gouging the Republican eyes. I won’t bite. Too early.
Remember Obama’s strength is the support of the public many of whom have raised him to heavenly levels. As long as that lasts he can do no wrong.
So far his “stimulus” hasn’t stimulated. Meanwhile the stock market tanks and the 401’s are becoming memories. I wonder how Fred and Jim are doing with their 401’s.
Meanwhile the President plays it cool. Wait I think he’s got another tax problem to deal with. Hmmmmmmmm.
I am a conservative. That is the same political religion as Rush. He and I see eye to eye on many things especially on conservative principles. I offer no apologies
All this is a distraction, your Honor. You are taking your eyes off the important target, the economy.
Oops, is that AIG at the trough again?

Its never too early to highlight the comments of the titular leader of the Republican Party. Rush Limbaugh deserves credit for speaking his mind. My question to you is who is right? Is Michael Steele correct or is El Rushbo correct?
LikeLike
Your Honor,
Rush 100% correct as far as his resistance to Obama’s drive to socialism.
Steele is a BIG disappointment, as is Cantor for basically being resistant to stopping the President.
Do you see the President driving us to bigger intrusive government being at the least a nanny state?

Actually Jules, 95% of my 401K has not dropped a dime — stable value during times of crisis my friend. Of course because of my chicken investments following a 75% drop in my 401K eight years ago when the telecom bubble burst, my 401K has been in stable value 365 days a year since then, but I’m feeling pretty good about it right at this moment…until I finally need to break into it to make that first mortgage payment due to job layoff…then I’m hurting. 😦

Fred,
You just don’t understand satire. The thrill thing was a satirical comment on hero worship.
I was expecting Steele to hold a conservative view. Thus the disappointment.
Unless we return to our principles we may as well pack up leave it to the Socialists.

I hope you do return to principles: you’ll be polling at 20%. It’s a big tent only in that any tent that Rush sits inside has to be VERY big (see, I think of that as satire).
But in all (half) seriousness, how do you feel as a free and independent thinker, when every time someone says something about Rush, he’s instantly a party pariah and must atone?
Aren’t your brethren reading from the real Little Red Book?
”
Under some totalitarian systems of communism, important party members who had fallen out of favor with the political elite were sometimes forced to undergo “self-criticism” sessions, producing either written or verbal statements detailing how they had been ideologically mistaken, and affirming their new belief in the party line[citation needed]. Self-criticism, however, did not guarantee political rehabilitation, and often offenders were still executed.
In the People’s Republic of China, self-criticism, called jiǎntǎo (检讨) in Chinese, is an important part of Maoist practice.

Do you know about the job fair next week?

I hear through the grapevine that Raytheon can’t hire enough qualified people …

Jim,
Sounds like you have kept your 401 in low risk cash accounts. As you say, sounds good today while others played the market and lost.
Sounds like you have not found anything yet. If you would be willing to send me your resume I will keep my eyes open. Hell, even a socialist has to have a job.
Let me know and we can figure out how to get it to me. Maybe we can meet over a cup of coffee. I will wear dark glasses so as not to embarrass you.

Fred,
I didn’t know of it, but I do now! Thanks for that one. Raytheon’s been a tough egg to crack coming from too many years in telecom.
Jules,
A VERY generous offer…but then my anonymity’s gone… 😉 Besides, I thought by inference that all ‘socialists’ were destined for welfare…

No such thing as too much experience: I’ve been reading for a month or two that both BAE and Raytheon have more contracts than they know what to do with. The biggest battle is to get in front of HR and hiring managers, and that happens on Monday.
Polish up that resume and stay positive, my man! You’re the solution to their problem!

Fred,
The little red book is yours. The truth is Rush is not going to run for office. He can’t do to the country what Nancy Palosi (pols at <30%) and Harry Reid are doing to it.
We need an active Republican politician to rise up and lead, similar to what Barak Obama has done for socialism.
We are at the beginning of a long dangerous journey. A lot will have to do with how the economy reacts over the next few months.
Stay tuned.

Your Honor,
I see that El Rushbo is challenging “The One” to a one on one debate.
Won’t happen though. “The One” is too busy spending like Mana from heaven.
Besides el Rushbo doesn’t need a teleprompter. Did the whole CPAP thing with no notes.

Damn, he’s good! He did the whole CRAP thing with no notes?! Even I need at least a newspaper (preferably liberal leaning) to get through one of them!
But anyway, perhaps if he had brought notes, he wouldn’t have bungled this:
“But the conservative talk show host wasn’t exactly standing on firm footing. Just a few moments earlier he himself had actually — not theoretically — “bastardized” the Constitution by confusing it with the Declaration of Independence.
Limbaugh, it seems, meant to say “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness,” which, of course, is in the Declaration of Independence. Just to be sure, however, the Constitutional Accountability Center compared his remarks to the Constitution’s preamble, and didn’t find a match. “

Jim,
That’s all you can focus on?? That he shoulda said Declaration of Independence, that he made that error? Which means what? His message has no standing then? You really are stupid.
And hey, let’s all focus on this instead of the economy that’s falling down all around us, courtesy of The Chosen One. That the White House has focused their attention on El Rushbo and not what they’re going to do about the economy TANKING, oh, that’s rich.

Jim,
Obama is trading off our freedom for his (and yours) brand of Socialism. Rush will never have that chance. I look foward to the day when you complain you were denied medical treatment because a Washington Bureaucrat felt it wasn’t ergent enough. And, you’ll have no alternative choices.
By the way, I caught you on Finnerans Forum. Classy act-you hung up on Tod with appropriate commentary. You were quite angry.
